Audio is sent from as few as two or to as many as sixteen boom, boundary and tower mounted phantom-powered physically isolated studio quality condenser microphones connected by Monster Cable to a 24-bit/96kHz Digital Audio Workstation.
For four to sixteen channel multitrack recordings, the raw audio signals enter a PreSonus Digimax FS pre-amp which is optically connected to an Edirol M-16DX digital mixer (Roland). A four-channel mixed safety backup is fed directly to a Zoom H4n digital recorder. The audio from the Roland is then connected via USB to an HP Windows 7 Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) using Cakewalk Sonar for multi-channel capture. Final mixing and sweetening (if required) is performed later using a Dell Media Center PC running Samplitude Producer.
For smaller two to four channel performances, the audio is fed through a digital mixer which is connected to a Zoom H4n, while an independent safety copy is sent for backup to a TASCAM CD-RW901 digital burner.
The final production is tested using a Bose speaker reference sound system, which incorporates Edirol's 16-band Room Acoustic Control (RAC) system. The RAC uses a pink-noise generator and analyzer to eliminate potential equalization errors that could be inadvertently introduced during the mixing process.
Your completed master recording is then burned to Redbook CD standards to insure compatibility with virtually any CD playback device. Optionally, the CD can be incorporated with disc copy protection to safeguard your performance and help deter unauthorized duplication.
From small ensembles to large concert groups, we're sure you'll find Green Trumpet Productions to be the premium live audio recording resource .
